YOU!
Downtown Huntington is the location of the yearly Chalk Walk. Event organizer, Pamela Burris, says “I knew that Huntington and the surrounding areas had lots of talented seasoned and young budding artists so I decided to coordinate an event to showcase just that. The medium would be chalk and their canvas would be concrete. I decided that our beautiful courthouse square would be the perfect spot.
The artists of all ages are dedicated and compassionate about sharing their abilities to create art in their own personal way. They endure bleeding finders and scuffed up knees, also long grueling hours on those hands and knees blending and creating their masterpieces ... due to the roughness of the concrete. They also brave the elements of both cold and heat, both can be had all in one day. Their dedication to their love for art is unwavering and something wonderful to witness.”
All ages, abilities, and skill levels are welcome to participate in this fun community event!
